Rating: Wine Spectator 93/100, RVF 16/20, Gold Medal at the 2009 Languedoc-Roussillon Grand Wine Competition
“It has an alluring aroma of sandalwood, with supple, luscious flavors of raspberry, red plum, cream, and allspice. Very pure and long on the finish, with notes of flan and white pepper. Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan.” (Wine Spectator - July 2009). A wine at its peak that will taste excellent for the next 3 to 5 years.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2015 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the estate:
This sprawling estate is located north of Pézenas. Surrounded by the springs that gave it its name, it covers nearly 100 hectares centered around a 19th-century folly. It has been owned by Axa Millésimes since 2003, which has devoted significant resources to reviving the brand.
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated 2** stars (Successful production)
About the estate:
Its name is linked to the many springs that flow around the farmhouse before emptying into the Peyne River. The vineyard spans 75 hectares of hillsides north of Pézenas. The terroir here is complex and varied, dominated by Villafranchian gravel over red clay and alluvial deposits. The entire Mas Belles Eaux vineyard has been reorganized around traditional Languedoc grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan.

A classic, predictable Languedoc wine—great value for money for those who enjoy the region’s typical style.
