Selected Estate (An estate or winery that has impressed us with one or more of its wines, though we are unable to offer a general assessment of the style of its entire range)

About the estate:

Géraldine Laval produces her "Terrasses-du-Larzac" wine at La Vacquerie. A trained oenologist who previously worked with Jean-Louis Chave, she is gradually converting her estate to organic farming. An estate to watch closely.

Rated estate (2025 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

After learning the trade from leading winemakers in the region, notably Olivier Jullien, Géraldine Laval established herself in 2009 on high-altitude plots in the Terrasses du Larzac, in the Poujols and Lauroux area, in the far northwest of the appellation. This small 6-hectare estate benefits from a vineyard layout composed of mature vines. A talented and passionate winemaker, Géraldine Laval expresses the purity, tension, and integrity of her terroirs with precision and sensitivity. The estate handled the 2021 vintage well and presents a very well-balanced range.
