In the heart of the Loire Valley, in Martigné-Briand, the Matignon Estate The family has been cultivating 38 hectares of vineyards for three generations; the estate is now run by the brother, Yves Matignon and her sister, Hélène Matignon.
Most of the estate’s production comes from theAnjou appellation. However , the estate offers a diverse range of wines that reflect the variety found in this remarkable region. Thanks to the diversity of terroirs and winemaking methods, you’ll find red, white, rosé, sparkling, and sweet wines.
The grape varieties cultivated by Domaine Matignon are primarily Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, and Grolleau. Special care is taken with the vineyards, which are managed using sustainable farming practices. The soils are mainly composed of schist, but also include calcareous clay and marl.
