“The 2011 Blanchais combines volume with a spicy, mouth-watering structure that is slightly warm. ” (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2014 - RVF). This old vine reveals its full length on both the nose and the palate, and the citrus and herbal notes blend with the minerality without ever being heavy or overly exuberant. A bottle just waiting to age… Don’t wait to get your hands on it!

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2014 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2026 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the wine:
Floral and light, with a hint of citrus, this wine is already very appealing.
About the estate:
The Pellé family has deep roots in the Menetou-Salon appellation, and their work in both the vineyard and the winery is impressive. Since 2006, Paul-Henri has been revitalizing this family estate, which continues to improve in quality. The emphasis on single-vineyard wines and the mastery of oak aging—increasingly using large vessels such as casks and tanks—contribute to the estate’s excellence, which has added another standard of excellence with its certification in organic farming since 2021.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated wine (2012 guide) 89–90+/100 (Excellent wine)
About the wine:
The 2011 Menetou-Salon Morogues Les Blanchais displays great clarity and is very refreshing, with a typical Kimmeridgian character compared to other Sauvignons I’ve tasted from this vintage. A complex and rich wine that retains its alluring floral bouquet, with notes of pineapple, juicy grapefruit, and chalky, mineral, and salty nuances. This 2011 white, with its long finish, will be the most exciting to follow, likely for the next half-dozen years.

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
The 2011 Blanchais combines body with a spicy, mouth-watering profile that’s slightly warm.
About the estate:
Paul-Henry Pellé, Anne’s son, oversees the vineyard and winemaking: this meticulous winemaker, who is constantly refining his soil management and aging techniques, is fully committed to achieving optimal ripeness and a diverse expression of the terroirs. Meticulous winemaking yields crisp, refreshing whites (Morogues), as well as deeper wines that reflect the uniqueness of each terroir: Le Carroir (old vines on flint), Vignes de Ratier (sun-drenched Kimmeridgian marl), Les Blanchais (northeast-facing Kimmeridgian marl). Well-structured, the reds can show some variation.

An instant favorite—an elegant wine. It’s hard to keep in the cellar because it’s so enjoyable, despite its aging potential. It has a beautiful pale lemon-yellow/pale gold color, with just the right amount of richness. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, slightly tart, and pleasant. A delicious, easy-drinking wine. Great to enjoy now or to age.

Pellé is the best producer of Menetou. A great Sauvignon for the 2011 vintage.
