Clos Henri Vineyard
Based in Sancerre for 10 generations, Domaine Henri Bourgeois has built its reputation over time. Once the estate was taken over by Henri Bourgeois’s sons, Rémi and Jean-Marie, new challenges arose, including the quest to explore the world of wine in search of a new terroir for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.

In 2000, after nearly 12 years of searching, the Bourgeois family fell in love with the Marlborough region of New Zealand and the wines produced there. The decision was made, and the Bourgeois family established Clos Henri on 98 hectares of pastureland. The first vines were planted a year later and produced the first vintage in 2003.
In 2007, Clos Henri acquired an additional 11 hectares; the estate now spans 109 hectares of vineyards planted with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, 42 of which have been certified organic since 2013.
