Greywacke
Kevin Judd is one of the pioneering winemakers in the Marlborough region. He has played an active role in establishing the reputation of New Zealand wines, notably as cellar master for Cloudy Bay.
In 2009, he founded his own winery, which he named Greywacke, in reference to the underlying rock (sandstone) found in abundance near the Wairau River and the surrounding vineyards.
At Greywacke, Kevin Judd crafts refined and complex wines made from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, which are among the best in the country.
