Review by Mr. DIDIER P. Published on April 5, 2018
The Sercial grape variety is full-bodied and astringent. With the 1995 vintage, time has mellowed it and transformed it into a masterpiece. The nose offers caramelized vanilla notes with a delicate hint of coffee. On the palate, prunes and spices dominate, along with raisins, walnuts, and almonds, without weighing down the mouthfeel, as a subtle astringency remains to keep the wine light and airy. An inimitable impression and flavor—slightly austere at first—that melts into a beautiful, lingering finish.
