Confidentielle en blanc is a rich, complex, and unique wine: the nose is complex and delicate, with notes of exotic fruits and citrus, along with subtle toasted and vanilla hints. On the palate, remarkable freshness highlights the wine’s richness and full-bodied fruitiness, blending seamlessly with woody notes to create a sensual finish. A lovely bottle!

Rated estate (2020 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)

About the estate:

This is one of the most famous estates in Provence. It belongs to the Combard family, who manage this 85-hectare vineyard, 30 hectares of which are leased. The vines, located along the coast on schist soil, have been cultivated using organic methods since 1979. Steps are currently underway to transition the entire estate to biodynamic farming. We applaud this commitment, which is no small feat for an estate of this size. While the wines are among Provence’s most reliable offerings, the family also goes the extra mile in welcoming visitors and, during the sunny days of the season, offers a cultural program well worth the visit.

Attractive and elegant, clean and well-balanced, with lovely freshness and notes of lime and eucalyptus on the palate. Short finish, with a slight bitterness on the aftertaste. Disappointing value for money.
