“We love the density of the texture in this spicy, warm Cairanne; the structure and crispness of the fruit bring balance to the whole. A wine for pleasure, certainly, but well-structured and rich.” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - Gault Millau)

About the estate:

Over the past 15 years, the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel has expanded by acquiring estates in the southern Rhône Valley. This strategy has proven successful both in the Luberon, with La Vieille Ferme, and in the other terroirs featured here. Their mastery of fermentation and appropriate aging techniques have played a major role in this success.
