Domaine de Marcoux
Located in Orange, in the legendary terroir of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s rounded pebbles, the Marcoux Estate Spanning 18 hectares of vineyards, the estate was run until 2019 by the Armenier sisters, Catherine and Sophie, with one overseeing the vineyards and the other managing the winery. Now that Catherine has retired, Sophie Armenier continues the family tradition alongside her son Vincent Estevenin, who has been with the estate since 2014.
Committed to certified organic farming since 1991, the Marcoux estate follows the principles of biodynamics by using biodynamic preparations (horn manure, silica, manure compost, herbal infusions, etc.). This wise choice allows the wines, year after year, to fully express the richness of an exceptional terroir.
The Marcoux estate is one of the leading names in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, producing terroir-driven wines that are unpretentious, well-balanced, and deep, and “stands out among the top wines of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation” (RVF).
