Domaine de Marcoux
Located in Orange, in the legendary region of Châteauneuf-du-Pape known for its rounded pebbles, the Marcoux Estate Spanning 18 hectares of vineyards, the estate was run until 2019 by the Armenier sisters, Catherine and Sophie—one in the vineyards, the other in the cellar. Today, with Catherine retired, Sophie Armenier continues the family tradition alongside her son Vincent Estevenin, who has been with the estate since 2014.
Committed to certified organic farming since 1991, the Marcoux estate follows the principles of biodynamics by using biodynamic preparations (horn manure, silica, manure compost, herbal infusions, etc.). This wise choice allows the wines, year after year, to express the full richness of an exceptional terroir.
The Marcoux estate is one of the leading names in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, producing terroir-driven wines that are unpretentious, well-balanced, and deep, and “stands at the pinnacle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines” (RVF).
