Château Mourgues du Grès - Capitelles des Mourgues Rosé 2008
Notes: Bettane & Desseauve 15/20 (+Immediate enjoyment), RVF 14/20
The Capitelles des Mourgues rosé is a delicious blend of Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Grenache. A “saignée” rosé, fermented in oak barrels, which offers a smoothness on the palate as well as aromatic complexity with spicy and vanilla notes. A stylish, harmonious, and balanced cuvée.
“Here is a Mourvèdre-based saignée rosé. It is remarkable for its complexity on the palate” (Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2010 - Bettane & Desseauve)

About the estate:
François Collard is a regular in the Guide, with his wines often ranking highly. Established in 1994, he began bottling wines from the family vineyards (65 hectares certified organic since 2014) under two labels: Mourgues du Grès, which belonged to the Ursuline convent of Beaucaire until the Revolution, and La Tour de Béraud, named after a 14th-century watchtower Never short on ideas, the Collard couple invites visitors to explore every facet of the estate via a marked trail equipped with Bluetooth markers.
