Ratings: Robert Parker 89/100, Gault Millau 15.5/20, RVF 15/20, Cité Guide Hachette
“With subtle chocolate notes, the nose offers a very seductive opening before giving way to spicy hints. Velvety and full-bodied tannins combine brilliantly; the finish features notes of cocoa. ” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - Gault Millau)

Food and wine pairings

Rated estate Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
François Collard is a regular in the Guide, with his wines often ranking highly. Established in 1994, he began bottling wines from the family vineyards (65 hectares certified organic since 2014) under two labels: Mourgues du Grès, which belonged to the Ursuline convent of Beaucaire until the Revolution, and La Tour de Béraud, named after a 14th-century watchtower Never short on ideas, the Collard couple invites visitors to explore every facet of the estate via a marked trail equipped with Bluetooth markers.

Review by Mr. FREDERIC B. Posted on May 28, 2014
Tasted in May 2014: a bright ruby color; a nose of crushed red fruits; on the palate, typical of the Grenache variety; in a blind tasting, it would be mistaken for a Côtes du Roussillon-Villages. It is at its peak.
