“An intense blend of macerated black fruits, sweet spices, and pepper, with a palate as dense as the color suggests. The palate is robust and fragrant, with firm tannins and a finish with a hint of zest.” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - Gault Millau)

About the estate:
A true pioneer in the appellation’s quality revival, this estate boasts diverse terroirs that it skillfully blends to create wines that strike a balance between finesse and structure. Of the highest quality, the wines continue to improve. In the summer, François and Anne Collard offer walking and mountain biking tours around the property, allowing visitors to explore their terroir and the region’s flora and fauna. It’s well worth the detour! A top-tier estate with several exceptional plots of old vines, producing consistent, understated wines that impress us year after year.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
François Collard is a regular in the Guide, with his wines often ranking highly. Established in 1994, he began bottling wines from the family vineyards (65 hectares certified organic since 2014) under two labels: Mourgues du Grès, which belonged to the Ursuline convent of Beaucaire until the Revolution, and La Tour de Béraud, named after a 14th-century watchtower Never short on ideas, the Collard couple invites visitors to explore every facet of the estate via a marked trail equipped with Bluetooth markers.
