Notes: Bettane & Desseauve 15.5/20, RVF 15/20, Guide Hachette 2** (Remarkable Wine)
“This Casta Diva boasts a pale yellow color with green highlights. The nose, both rich and refined, blends delicate oak with ripe fruit. Fresh on the attack, the palate then reveals more body and warmth, unfolding into a long, aromatic, and generous finish, supported by the same measured oak detected on the nose.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2013)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
In the historic Tavel region, the Maby family produces wines of consistent quality that are always authentic, pleasant, and full-bodied. Led by the dynamic Richard Maby, the estate continues to evolve, with the wines gaining in precision each year. The vineyards are located in the municipalities of Tavel, the Lirac plateau, and the neighboring Côtes du Rhône. Reasonable prices and the consistent quality of the wines make this estate a safe bet on the current market, across all three wine types.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
This estate, known for its consistently high-quality wines—particularly its Lirac in all three varieties and its Tavel—was founded in 1950 by Armand Maby. In 2005, his grandson Richard took over the vineyard, which spans 53 hectares, mostly situated on the rounded pebbles of the Vallongue plateau; the vines are cultivated using natural methods and have been in the process of converting to organic farming since 2019. Since 2011, the eminent Rhône oenologist Philippe Cambie has been advising the estate.
