"A fine, controlled vintage".
"There are some cuvées you just can't get enough of. Like this one, whose evocative name makes you want to take a stroll through the vineyards. Dominated by Roussanne (60%), this Saint-Péray smells of honeysuckle, green almond, white pepper and wild mint. Insanely well-balanced, the palate is both lively and unctuous, supported by a buttery toast-like oakiness and enhanced by a long, mineral finish. Enjoy it with noble fish or in its simplest form as an aperitif". (Le Guide Hachette 2026)

About the wine:
Lovely perfume, very bright and attractive. Full-bodied, the acidity is quite low but not unbalanced, with a good sense of brightness to the pear flavors. A wine that combines richness and texture with freshness. Good density, with mineral impetus and brioche notes on the finish. Cuvée of old vines - around 60 years old on average.

About the domain :
The Gripa family arrived in Saint-Péray in the 17th century, then settled in Mauves around 1850. An established name in the northern Rhône Valley, both for its Saint-Péray and Saint-Joseph wines (as witnessed by the numerous Favorites obtained in both appellations), the estate has been run since 2001 by Fabrice Gripa, Bernard's son, now at the head of 18 ha of vines.

About the wine:
Saint-Péray Les Figuiers 2023 is a solid bottle that reveals an exotic, dense bouquet of ripe orchard fruit, flowers, white pear, lemon peel and spices, interwoven with delicate menthol notes. Medium- to full-bodied, round and sappy, it's enveloping and harmonious, with lively acids and a long, delicate, fruity finish. A blend of 60% Roussanne and 40% Marsanne, it should age gracefully for the next decade or more.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94/100
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
Fabrice Gripa continues his father's work at the only Mauves estate to produce as many whites as reds. And he masters his subject perfectly, delivering different cuvées with strong personalities. The whites are showcased in four cuvées: two Saint-Péray and two Saint-Joseph. The reds are close to the fruit, with straightforwardness and admirable ageing management. A consistent estate of excellent quality.

About the wine:
Saint-Péray Les Figuiers 2023 opens with intense notes of lemon zest, cedar, jasmine and a hint of honeysuckle. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and structured, the 2023 is a delicious Les Figuiers, which ranks alongside the best wines from the entire appellation.

About the wine:
More dominated by Roussanne, but including 40% Marsanne, Saint-Péray Les Figuiers 2023 is a riper, richer white wine with a more exotic style in its aromas of honeyed orchard fruit, dried flowers, toast and saline, mineral nuances. Like Les Pins, it's beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied and impeccably made. Enjoy it over the next 4-5 years. Although the style of Gripa's two white wines is radically different, the quality of both is incredible. Drink between 2025 and 2030.
