Richard Maby has succeeded in making his wines world-renowned benchmarks, and his Tavel wines have become essential references for the appellation. This is demonstrated once again this year by the 2010 Prima Donna cuvée, —a gourmet rosé with just the right balance of power, freshness, and richness on the palate. The quintessence of the Southern Rhône— —in a splendid 2010 vintage that Tavel enthusiasts will undoubtedly appreciate!

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
This estate, known for its consistently high-quality wines—particularly its Lirac in all three varieties and its Tavel—was founded in 1950 by Armand Maby. In 2005, his grandson Richard took over the vineyard, which spans 53 hectares, mostly situated on the rounded pebbles of the Vallongue plateau; the vines are cultivated using natural methods and have been in the process of converting to organic farming since 2019. Since 2011, the eminent Rhône oenologist Philippe Cambie has been advising the estate.
