Domaine de la Brunely - Vacqueyras Tour aux Cailles 2010
92/100
Robert Parker
"Crafted in a modern style, the 2010 Vacqueyras Tour-aux-Cailles, with its deep purple color, is one of the greatest wines of the vintage. A 50-50 blend of Grenache and Syrah aged entirely in concrete tanks, it offers abundant notes of blackberry, undergrowth, and floral aromas, as well as sensational concentration, a top-notch texture, moderate tannins, and a massive finish.” (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

A well-balanced, concentrated Vacqueyras with a lovely finish that I enjoyed with a wonderful braised veal dish with candied lemon. Don’t hesitate to open it 1 or 2 hours ahead of time and give it a taste. Personally, I don’t decant it.
