"A white Vacqueyras that has nothing to envy the region's finest crus".
"The biodynamically certified Vacqueyras Un Sang Blanc 2023 opens with aromas of ripe yellow apple, lemon flesh, white flowers, discreet cedar and a touch of gunflint. Round and concentrated, the refreshing 2023 is unfailingly elegant, expressing itself with saline nuances on the sapid finish." (Vinous 2024)

3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Serge Férigoule is a key figure in the Vacqueyras appellation, and his wines are an integral part of its history. Originally a vineyard worker, he has been the owner of Sang des Cailloux since 1990. Some twenty hectares scattered between Vacqueyras and Sarrians are harvested at perfect ripeness and aged for a long time. In an uncompromising style that almost turns its back on modernity, this domaine produces five red cuvées, whose concentration and delicate touch would benefit from greater aromatic precision. A hint of progress and the blood of the stones will continue to run down the throats of many wine-lovers!

About the wine:
Candied citrus nose. Quite a full, ripe style, quite rich, but the notes of noble bitterness help to bring structure. Acidity is also present, but the structure is also bitters-driven. Well-integrated toasty oak notes. The alcohol is barely warm, and the wine has plenty of presence, though without the elegance of the 2021 vintage. A vintage to be enjoyed young. Grenache blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Marsanne, Bourboulenc and Viognier. Aged in barrels, foudre and 180-liter terracotta amphoras.

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
This Vacqueyras estate boasts a magnificent terroir on a plateau of rolled pebbles. Certified organic since 2010, and biodynamic since 2012, with strictly controlled yields, the estate produces imposing Vacqueyras that need time to reveal themselves. These well-structured, high-maturity wines, however, are tending to become more refined in recent vintages. Cuvée Lopy can be so rich and dense that, in certain vintages, we may prefer the balance of the entry-level wines. The white, not presented in 2022, is establishing itself as an attractive benchmark in the sector.

About the wine:
Floury, nutty, slightly reduced nose. Round and fresh on the palate. A mineral and stone-fruit mid-palate, followed by a hint of hazelnut on the finish. Very well-balanced and harmonious, it's already tasting very well. Very well constructed.
