Notes: RV F 15/20
Rimage La Coume is a unique and essential cuvée that all wine enthusiasts know well. Full of power and complexity, it comes from the estate’s finest terroir, on sun-drenched schist plots located at an altitude of 350 meters, where the Grenache Noir expresses itself beautifully. A great terroir where everything comes together to produce the finest Rimage wines. As Mr. Parcé says, “to be enjoyed now for its balance, or jealously guarded for the future”! A truly great 2001 vintage

Rated 2** stars (Successful production)

About the estate:

Dr. Parcé had undeniably left his mark on the estate and the Banyuls appellation as a whole, which is rooted in its magnificent schist terroirs. As for the Collioures—that is, the dry wines produced in the same geographical area—they have so far provided a good indication of this terroir and its potential. The challenge is great for Jean-Michel Parcé, the son, to maintain this high standard of quality.

Rated estate (2011 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

Le Mas Blanc boasts the largest vineyards in Banyuls. It has been owned by the same family since 1639—the Parcé family, led by Dr. Parcé, a prominent local figure who passed away in 1998 and who played a leading role in the estate for many years.
