Rating: RVF 16/20, Gault Millau 15/20
The full character of the Côte Vermeille terroir comes through in this great dry white wine, where the four grape varieties in its blend lend it its unique character and qualities. The 2008 vintage stands out for its lovely freshness and a sensual quality that is certainly appealing. The intense yet delicate notes of sea salt and lemon suggest pairing it with seafood or fish in white sauce, but it can also be enjoyed on its own as a simple indulgence...

Gault & Millau Wine Guide

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Rated 2** stars (Successful production)

About the estate:

Dr. Parcé had undeniably left his mark on the estate and the Banyuls appellation as a whole, which is rooted in its magnificent schist terroirs. As for the Collioures—that is, the dry wines produced in the same geographical area—they have so far provided a good indication of this terroir and its potential. The challenge is great for Jean-Michel Parcé, the son, to maintain this high standard of quality.

Rated estate (2011 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)

About the estate:

Le Mas Blanc boasts the largest vineyards in Banyuls. It has been owned by the same family since 1639—the Parcé family, led by Dr. Parcé, a prominent local figure who passed away in 1998 and who played a leading role in the estate for many years.
