Le Clos des Fées - La Petite Sibérie 2007

Le Clos des Fées - La Petite Sibérie 2007

Ratings: Robert Parker 91–92+/100, Gault Millau 18/20, Bettane & Desseauve 16.5/20, RVF 16.5/20
“This cuvée has been the subject of much discussion. Crafted to showcase the potential of Roussillon, it still needs time for its oak aging to mellow, but the quality of the tannins in this cuvée is exceptional.” (Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2010 - Bettane & Desseauve). A rarity!

About the estate:

Hervé Bizeul, a winemaker and maverick writer, has little left to prove, as his estate ranks among the elite of the Roussillon region. That doesn’t stop him from constantly challenging himself, exploring new avenues, innovating, thinking outside the box, and creating new vintages. A prime example is his Pinot Noir, which came out of nowhere and bravely withstands the harsh sun and the Tramontane winds of the Agly Valley. Here, each cuvée displays a personality all its own, sometimes uncompromising, just like its winemaker. From no fewer than seven different terroirs emerges a serious and diverse interpretation of Roussillon. A model of its kind.
