Domaine de l'Aitonnement
Maxime Dancoine, a young winemaker from Savoie, settled in Anton a few years ago. Characterized by highly fragmented plots, he tends his vineyard, L'Aitonnement, like a garden, as it consists entirely of hillsides. The absence of other professional winemakers in this part of the Maurienne Massif, combined with the steep slopes, makes this vineyard a unique and unconventional site brimming with charm that piques the curiosity of wine enthusiasts.
To best preserve this unique environment, Maxime has embraced certified organic farming—which he has practiced since 2017—and biodynamic farming. This meaningful approach to agriculture encourages reflection before action, and every day he sees how nature rewards him for it.
Production under the Allobroges PGI label is rooted in biodiversity and the goal of revitalizing Savoyard viticulture. Maxime Dancoine therefore prioritizes planting indigenous grape varieties such as Jaubertin and Blanc de Maurienne. Of course, there are also white wines made from Jacquère and Altesse, which offer a rich and crisp profile, as well as Mondeuse in Darkside.
