Note: Guide Hachette 2** (Remarkable Wine)
“This intense color heralds a concentrated, refined, and straightforward nose, where red fruits and blackberries are accompanied by peppery notes characteristic of the grape variety. The structured and long palate, supported by already integrated tannins, finishes with a hint of violet. “Unpretentious and typical of the vintage,” according to the judges, this already enjoyable wine can be cellared for three to five years.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2012)

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Rated (2012 Guide) 4*Stars (Very high-quality production)
About the estate:
“Louis and Joseph Trosset pay tribute to the Mondeuse, Savoie’s quintessential challenging and demanding grape variety. It tolerates neither mediocrity nor average ripeness. At the estate, across 4.50 hectares, the Trosset sons have come to understand it and tend to it with great care. The vintages are therefore often marvelous, with animal notes, peppery, spicy...”

Rated estate (2013 guide) 2* Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, belong in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
“This 4-hectare estate is situated on the beautiful hillsides of the village of Arbin, a terroir particularly suited to Mondeuse. Expertly managed by two brothers, Joseph (in the vineyard) and Louis (in the cellar), the family-owned property features vines with an average age of 25 years. The soils are worked, vinification is carried out by plot, fermentation follows traditional methods, and aging in tanks lasts 8 to 12 months. The Mondeuse wines possess incredible character and stand out for their elegance and aromatic purity, often with a fresh, aniseed-like quality. The very small production volumes make this estate a hidden gem, yet it produces wines of consistent quality with excellent aging potential.”
