The cool climate and sandy soils allowed their Syrah and Grenache vines (planted in 1950) to quickly express the best of this exceptional terroir and produce vibrant, flavorful wines. 

This is how this very young winery, in just four years, caught the attention of the renowned critic James Halliday: in 2017, he named it “Best New Winery.” This marked the beginning of numerous awards and recognition from the wine world. 

In 2018 and 2020, AndréBondarwas ranked among the 50 Best Young Winemakers. In 2021,Rayner Vineyardwas ranked among Australia’s 50 Best Vineyards. In 2023, the Halliday Wine Companion finally rankedBondar amongthe Top 100 Best Wineries in Australia. 

And after being selected in 2023 and 2024 among the 10 estates offering the best value for money in Australia,Bondarwins the coveted title and is named "Australia’s Best Value Estate 2026."
