"Bright straw yellow. Pungent, mineral aromas of citrus, pear nectar, white peach, and iodine, with subtle notes of fennel and jasmine. The palate is subtly mellow and concentrated, offering intense flavors of orchard fruit and citrus, as well as deeper nuances of marzipan and buttered toast. About wine:

The measured use of oak allows the Sexton vineyard's intrinsic potential for complexity to shine through. 2020 was a vintage with particularly low yields, producing small clusters of intense yet fresh fruit. Giant Steps made the most of it, as evidenced by this wine with aromas of lemon, apple, and melon, supported by a solid mineral structure, firm acidity, and honeyed richness. Good aging potential.

About wine:

This beauty, sourced from a single vineyard, a vintage of sober and acidic Chardonnay from the Yarra Valley, presents reductive characteristics of gunflint and nuts. These are combined with more delicate aromas of stone fruit, waxy lemon, white spices, orchard blossoms, and wet stones. Toasted oak is also present but well integrated. The palate is beautifully balanced, with lively, lemony acidity and well-integrated oak. Precise yet full of character, this wine is an excellent example of modern Australian Chardonnay, well suited for drinking now. Enjoy now through 2032.
