Domaine Franck Juillard

Franck Juillard is the fourth generation of winemakers in the Juillard family. Passionate about viticulture and winemaking from a very young age, he learned the trade by working alongside his father. At the early age of 14, he enrolled in a school specializing in viticulture and oenology to study winemaking, graduating in 1990. He quickly established his own estate in 1992. With 3.5 hectares of vineyards on the Poupets estate, Domaine Franck Juillard produced its first vintage that very year; he was just 22 years old.

Since then, this friendly winemaker has continued to move forward, both in the vineyard and in the restructuring or creation of new facilities. To improve and better control his winemaking processes, Franck Juillard built new structures housing cellars and fermentation tanks, replaced the old concrete tanks with new temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, expanded his wine storage capacity, and acquired a pneumatic press. With a keen focus on vineyard management, cultivation practices are constantly evolving to produce the finest grapes—the essential foundation for crafting wines of exceptional quality. Today, with nearly 12 hectares of vineyards across various Beaujolais crus and even in the Mâconnais region, Franck Juillard offers an intriguing range of quality wines, including both reds and whites.
