Domaine de La Motte (Beaujolais)

Domaine de La Motte is a small family estate covering 26 hectares, with vineyards in the Côte-de-Brouilly, Brouilly, Fleurie, and Moulin à Vent appellations in the Beaujolais region. Today, Laurent Charrion, the third generation of this family of winegrowers, is at the helm of Domaine de La Motte and regularly receives stars or Favorites Guide Hachette for his excellent Côte-de-Brouilly.

Laurent Charrion and his wife Christine are dynamic and innovative winemakers who run Domaine de La Motte with respect for their terroir and modern winemaking techniques. They were among the first winemakers in the region to use temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, which promote the extraction of color and tannins, and a pneumatic press that gently extracts the fruity aromas from the grapes. They vinify the wines of Domaine de La Motte without artifice , reflecting the most beautiful expressions of Gamay, the unique red grape variety of Beaujolais, and offer a range of products from different Beaujolais terroirs that are always of excellent quality, value, and pleasure.
