Domaine des Nugues

Domaine des Nugues was purchased in 1976 by Gérard Gelin and is now run by his son Gilles. Domaine des Nugues is a leading producer within the Beaujolais-Villages appellation, but also produces wines in the Morgon, Fleurie, and Beaujolais appellations… The Domaine des Nugues vineyard covers approximately 33 hectares of vines located in northern Beaujolais, bordering the Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie, and Morgon crus.

The Domaine des Nugues vineyard is managed using sustainable farming practices. The two grape varieties grown—Gamay noir à jus blanc (red wines) and Chardonnay (white wines)—are harvested by hand, and vinification is carried out using whole clusters in the Beaujolais tradition. One of the best estates in the region.
