Domaine des Nugues
The Domaine des Nugues was purchased in 1976 by Gérard Gelin and is now run by his son Gilles. The Domaine des Nugues is the spearhead of the Beaujolais-Villages appellation, but also produces wines in the Morgon, Fleurie, and Beaujolais appellations. The Domaine des Nugues vineyard covers approximately 33 hectares of vines located in the north of Beaujolais, on the border of the Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie, and Morgon crus.

The Domaine des Nugues vineyard is managed using sustainable agriculture methods. The two grape varieties grown, Gamay noir à jus blanc (red wines) and Chardonnay (white wines), are harvested manually and vinified as whole bunches in the Beaujolais tradition. One of the best estates in the region.
