Domaine de Fa
The the Graillot family The family has long been established in the Rhône Valley—Alain settled in Crozes-Hermitage 30 years ago—but they have never severed their ties to Burgundy. In fact, there is still a family home near Tournus.
Perhaps this is reflected in the wines produced at the estate in Crozes: they generally have excellent aging potential, but there has always been a focus on fruit and freshness, which also makes them enjoyable when young—qualities generally associated with the Gamay grape variety.
It was therefore with this dual goal—to breathe new life into the family home and to produce wines they love in a region with great potential—that they set out to find vineyards in the Beaujolais region.
In 2014, Antoine and Maxime Graillot purchased a 5-hectare plot of land: the Domaine de Fa was born. Today, the Domaine de Fa consists of 8 hectares of vineyards, and the grapes are vinified at the family estate.
The Domaine de Fa produces wines under the Beaujolais, Saint-Amour, and Fleurie appellations.
