Domaine de Fa
The the Graillot family has long been established in the Rhône Valley, and Alain settled in Crozes-Hermitage 30 years ago, but she has never severed her ties to Burgundy. In fact, there is still a family home near Tournus.
Perhaps this is reflected in the wines produced at the estate in Crozes: they generally have excellent aging potential, but there has always been an emphasis on fruit and freshness, which also makes them enjoyable when young—qualities generally associated with the Gamay grape.
It was therefore with this dual goal—to breathe new life into the family home and to produce wines they love in a region with great potential—that they set out to find vineyards in the Beaujolais.
In 2014, Antoine and Maxime Graillot purchased a 5-hectare plot of land: Domaine de Fa was born. Today, Domaine de Fa comprises 8 hectares of vineyards, whose grapes are vinified at the family estate.
Domaine de Fa produces wines under the Beaujolais, Saint-Amour, and Fleurie appellations.
