Castle of Lights
Château des Lumières, located in the heart of Beaujolais, in the Morgon appellation, is now part of the great Burgundy house Louis Jadot, which also presides over the destiny of Château des Jacques. Five remarkable terroirs are part of this ensemble: Grand Clos de Rochegrès, Clos du Grand Carquelin, Clos de Champ de Cour, Clos de la Roche, and Clos des Thorins. All of Louis Jadot's expertise and high standards are put to work in the service of Beaujolais' most prestigious cru.

For nearly 10 years, the winemaking at Château des Lumières has been the work of Guillaume de Castelnau, who took over from the estate's oenologist, Jacques Lardière, of whom he was a disciple. Respect for the vine, destemming of Gamay grapes, long vatting and aging in new barrels are the basic principles of Château des Lumières. This beautiful interpretation of Gamay and lovely definition of the terroirs do credit to the Morgon appellation.
