Castle of the Enlightenment
Château des Lumières, located in the heart of the Beaujolais region within the Morgon appellation, is now part of the renowned Burgundy house Louis Jadot, which also oversees Château des Jacques. Five remarkable terroirs make up this estate: Grand Clos de Rochegrès, Clos du Grand Carquelin, Clos de Champ de Cour, Clos de la Roche, and Clos des Thorins. All of Louis Jadot’s expertise and high standards are dedicated to the most prestigious cru in Beaujolais.

For nearly 10 years, the winemaking at Château des Lumières has been the result of the work of Guillaume de Castelnau, who took over from the estate’s oenologist, Jacques Lardière, of whom he was a disciple. Respect for the vines, destemming of the Gamay grapes, long vatting, and aging in new barrels are the fundamental principles of Château des Lumières. This exquisite interpretation of Gamay and beautiful expression of the terroirs do justice to the Morgon appellation.
