"Delicious and elegant"

A delightful Régnié that already has it all: a nose of red and black fruits, very fresh, complemented by a hint of herbaceous notes, a touch of minerality, floral aromas, and hints of cocoa. The palate is round and fruity, with flavors of stewed blackberries and light, well-integrated tannins. A beautifully balanced wine that finishes with notes of dried herbs. It will be wonderful as an aperitif or paired with a filet mignon.

About the estate:

Originally vineyard workers, then owners starting in 1903, the Cinquin family is based in the hamlet of Les Braves in Régnié-Durette. Paul, an amateur cycling champion and friend of the Tour de France riders, handed the reins over to the sixth generation in 1988: Franck and Anne-Virginie. Their lineup includes Régnié and Morgon wines, as well as Beaujolais-Villages and rosés, produced from 16 hectares of vineyards.

Simple and straightforward, this Gamay delights with its luscious, silky texture. Sparkling fruit awakens the taste buds, and the vintage’s mineral freshness further tantalizes them. It’s so delightful that one can easily forgive its slight lack of power, body, and length. A wine for pure enjoyment, best savored sooner rather than later with endives au gratin with ham or a crispy grilled pork belly. Rating = 3.7.
