Domaine Cheveau - Saint-Amour Villa Violettes 2019
2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
Favorite its Mâconnais wines, the Cheveau estate also takes its place among the greats in Saint-Amour with this cuvée, whose name evokes the family home dating back to 1685 located in the village. In terms of the vines, it is a blend of three plots planted with 40-year-old vines. In the glass, this is an exciting wine with an intense color, opening up unreservedly to reveal red and black fruits complemented by delicate floral and woody nuances. This intensity is reflected in a full, rich, silky palate, supported by velvety tannins and wood that blends perfectly with the fruit. The long, spicy, deep finish is the final convincing touch.
