Les Larmes de Rabaud - Vin de France 2020 (doux)

Château Rabaud-Promis is revolutionizing the wine industry with an accessible sweet wine and bold double-cap packaging!
Château Rabaud-Promis, a Premier Grand Cru Classé Sauternes located in Bommes, has created a surprise by redesigning the packaging of its fine wine. In this modern approach, the second wine "Raymond-Louis" has now given way to "Larmes de Rabaud," a contemporary interpretation of French sweet wines. It seduces with its 58 g of sugar per liter, well below the 147 g of its big brother, offering a lighter and more accessible experience. Its container is original, with a screw cap on a French cork, for on-the-go consumption and optimal preservation for up to one month after opening! A sweet wine ideal for creating cocktails or pairing with exotic cuisine.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
The Dejeans, owners of the vineyard, are accomplished winemakers, among the last to still be driving their own tractors, and their expertise in noble rot is matched only by their caution, especially since they practice organic-inspired viticulture and are not overly fond of excessive sulfur use. The wine continues to showcase the generosity and class of the terroir, now on a par with its neighbors, while maintaining remarkable value for money.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2025 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Founded in 1903 following the sale of part of Sigalas-Rabaud to the Promis family, Rabaud-Promis has had an eventful history, with divisions and changes of ownership, until it was bought by Raymond-Louis Lanneluc in 1950. Since then, the estate has enjoyed stability. For the past twenty years, it has been run by Thomas Dejean, who manages 33 hectares (in conversion to organic farming) on the summit of Rabaud hill, opposite Château d'Yquem. His wife, Séverine Dejean, is in charge of winemaking.

Rated estate (2026 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Rabaud-Promis is certainly one of the most discreet of the Sauternes first growths, but that doesn't make it any less interesting! Neighboring Sigalas Rabaud, the estate occupies a dominant position in the Sauternes landscape. Thomas Déjean, whose family acquired the estate in 1950, has been running it for around twenty years. This passionate and curious technician has seen his scope for action increase with the arrival of négociant Jean Merlaut as a shareholder in the property in 2019. Rabaud-Promis offers substantial wines, Sauternes that are particularly complete and representative.
