Château Mayne Mazerolles
Located in the town of Cars, the Château Mayne Mazerolles vineyard spans 30 hectares in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation and features south-facing plots on clay-limestone plateaus.
This “gruppes” terroir, composed of small white pebbles, imparts a distinctive character to the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec in the wines.
Passed down from woman to woman for many generations before being taken over in 1995 by three lovers of vines and wine, the Château Mayne Mazerolles vineyard in Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux lies near the town of Blaye and its Citadel, a Vauban fortress listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Now managed by Xavier Stoll, a winemaker passionate about the Blaye terroir, Château Mayne Mazerolles produces increasingly balanced and delicious wines in Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux with each harvest.
