Château Bellevue (Fronsac)
Château Bellevue forms a single 12-hectare vineyard with Château Haut-Ballet (Canon-Fronsac). Its owner, Olivier Decelle, applies the same rigor and precision that have made his famous Mas Amiel in Roussillon so successful. In 2007, Hubert de Bouard, owner of the neighboring Château Angelus estate, acquired half of the estate. Château Bellevue's wine thus benefits from the combined experience of both owners to achieve a level of quality that is hard to fault.
Château Bellevue benefits from the Fronsac AOC. The vineyard, planted at an altitude of 80 meters above the Dordogne, is located in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac and rests on a base of pure limestone, which gives the wine its complexity and minerality. The Château Bellevue vineyard, planted in 1970, consists exclusively of Merlot.
