Château Bellevue (Fronsac)
Château Bellevue and Château Haut-Ballet (Canon-Fronsac) together form a single 12-hectare vineyard. Its owner, Olivier Decelle, applies the same rigor and precision here that made his famous Mas Amiel in Roussillon a success. In 2007, Hubert de Bouard, owner of the neighboring estate Château Angelus, acquired half of the estate. Château Bellevue’s wine thus benefits from this combination of expertise to achieve a quality that is virtually flawless.
Château Bellevue holds the Fronsac AOC designation. The vineyard, planted at an elevation of 80 meters above the Dordogne River, is located in Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac and rests on a bed of pure limestone that lends complexity and minerality to the wine. The Château Bellevue vineyard, planted in 1970, consists exclusively of Merlot.
