Château La Grange de Bessan

Château La Grange de Bessan was born out of the ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon on the limestone soils of the Civrac island (very little soil on omnipresent, outcropping limestone rock). Establishing the Château La Grange de Bessan vineyard in the Haut-Médoc AOC under such conditions was a costly, arduous and lengthy task. It required significant technical resources, suitable rootstocks and a great deal of patience. The vines at Château La Grange de Bessan are now receiving the kind of care worthy of a viticulture manual, with perfect water supply that is just sufficient, never excessive and never lacking, producing rich, concentrated grapes.

Château La Grange de Bessan benefits from all the technology and expertise of Vignobles Lacombe. The spirit of this house, which consists of several estates in Bordeaux, notably Château Bessan Ségur, is characterized by a rigorous pursuit of genuine perfectionism, a significant commitment to quality starting in the vineyard, and ultra-modern winemaking and aging facilities all located on a single site.
