Château Clinet

Château Clinet is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, in the Bordeaux region. Situated on the finest plots of the famous Gunz gravel terrace—the terroir of the greatest Merlots—Château Clinet is one of the most prestigious estates in the Pomerol appellation.

The vineyard is planted primarily with Merlot, supplemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Vineyard management at Château Clinet is carried out with respect for the environment, prioritizing soil cultivation and cover cropping over chemical treatments, and thus relying primarily on human labor. This gentle and sustainable approach to cultivating the land and vines yields grapes of exceptional quality. Investments in state-of-the-art viticultural equipment ensure the utmost respect for the soil and vineyards of Château Clinet. In addition, research into the terroir and vine foliage helps establish a harvest plan for each vintage.

Since 2009, the Clinet Group, led by Ronan Laborde, has forged a partnership with winemakers from the Right Bank to produce accessible wines that embody Clinet’s signature generosity but are classified under the Bordeaux appellation. Ronan by Clinet thus released its first vintage.
