Château Clinet

Château Clinet is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation, in the Bordeaux region. Château Clinet is one of the most prestigious estates in the Pomerol appellation, situated on the best parcels of the famous Gunz gravel terrace, the terroir of the finest Merlot.

The grape varieties are mainly Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Château Clinet 's vines are cultivated with respect for the environment, giving preference to tillage and grassing over chemical treatments, thus relying essentially on the human hand. The gentle, reasoned cultivation of the soil and vines produces grapes of exceptional quality. Investments in state-of-the-art viticultural equipment ensure that Château Clinet's soil and vineyard are treated with the utmost respect. In addition, research into the terroir and foliage of the vines enables us to draw up a harvest plan for each vintage.

Since 2009, the Clinet group, headed by Ronan Laborde, has built up a partnership with winemakers on the Right Bank to produce affordable wines with the same Clinet generosity, but in the Bordeaux appellation. Ronan by Clinet now produces its first vintage.
