Château La Création

As soon as Château La Création was acquired, a number of improvements were made, such as modifying the plant heritage to bring out the full potential of the soil and subsoil. The majority of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vines will be partially uprooted to make way for Cabernet Franc. These draining soils, which are drier than clay soils, resist drought well and are perfectly suited to Cabernet Franc, which retains all its freshness. As a result, the proportion of this grape variety has grown steadily: from 20% in 2012, it now accounts for 61% of the total, a proportion rarely seen in Pomerol.
