Château La Création

Since the purchase of Château La Création, improvements have been made, such as modifying the plant heritage, allowing the full potential of the soil and subsoil to be revealed. The majority of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vines will be partially uprooted to make way for Cabernet Franc. These well-drained soils, which are drier than clay soils, are drought-resistant and perfectly suited to Cabernet Franc, which retains all its freshness. The proportion of this grape variety has continued to grow: from 20% in 2012, it now accounts for 61% of the vineyard, a proportion rarely seen in Pomerol.
