“From the very first sip, La Croix St Georges presents itself as an inviting and alluring wine. The bouquet alternates between fruity, spicy, and woody notes. Its smoothness on the palate only serves to highlight the charm of Pomerol, while the tannins provide depth and structure. ” (Yves Beck 2021) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected)

Wine rated (2020 guide) 92/100

Rated 3 stars (A high-quality product that serves as a benchmark in its sector)

About the wine:

The delicate tannins, enveloped by well-structured fruit, unfold within a concentrated body with a fresh finish that thoroughly won us over during the second tasting of this vintage.

About the estate:

The Janoueix family, one of the great wine families of the Right Bank, has always had a keen sense for the great wines of Pomerol. First and foremost, we must pay tribute to Marie-Antoinette Janoueix: in 1999, she had the excellent intuition to set aside four hectares of gravelly soil located in the heart of the clay plateau that had previously been part of Château-la-Croix. These high-quality plots are neighbors to prestigious estates such as Le Pin, Vieux Château Certan, and Petit Village. Her daughter, Marie-Jo Chabut, has skillfully taken over the estate and entrusted the technical management to her nephew, the talented Jean-Philippe Janoueix, who brings greater precision to the mid-palate and finish. We appreciate the dense and voluptuous attack that lingers with smoothness and energy; the truffle-like finish lends greater nobility to the whole.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

An alluring nose, with blackcurrant scented with violet—fruity and floral. Excellent core, juicy and vibrant. This wine reveals a pleasant character, quite bright in the glass yet always with depth, highlighting black fruits and licorice. I love the composition and overall balance. The tannins are ripe and well-integrated. Blue fruits, refreshing elements, and acidity keep it quite lively, with just a touch of austerity emerging toward the finish. 2024–2035

Wine rated (2022 guide) 91-92/100

About the wine:

An aged wine, full of gravitas and elegance. On the nose, it bursts with perfectly ripe blueberries, which carry through to the palate—straightforward yet caressing, like a wingback chair upholstered in thick velvet.
