Domaine Hubert Lamy
Domaine Hubert Lamy has been owned by a family of winegrowers in Saint-Aubin since 1640. Hubert Lamy established his estate in 1973 with 9 hectares, then a new winery was built in 1980 and expanded in 2002. His son Olivier joined him in 1998. The estate now cultivates 17 hectares, including 9 hectares of premier cru vineyards in the communes of Saint-Aubin, Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Santenay.
The vineyards of Domaine Hubert Lamy are planted on light, shallow (10 to 30 cm) and very stony clay-limestone soils with a predominance of limestone. The exposure is south or southeast depending on the appellation. No chemical fertilizers have been used in the estate's vineyards for 10 years, but organic compost-based amendments are applied in a sustainable manner. The grapes are harvested by hand, and each plot of vines is vinified and aged separately so that each wine retains the character of its terroir.
