Château de la Tour

Château de la Tour was built in 1890 in the upper part of the Clos de Vougeot and has been owned by the same family ever since. Château de la Tour is, in fact, the largest landowner in the Clos de Vougeot and is also the only one to produce wine within the vineyard’s boundaries. It produces extraordinary wines that rank among the greatest crus of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. This leading estate in the famous Clos de Vougeot vineyard rightly enjoys a reputation that is universally recognized around the world.

Château de la Tour is currently managed by François Labet, who carries on traditional winemaking expertise in close harmony with its unique terroir. Château de la Tour’s Clos-Vougeot is one of Burgundy’s “Grands Crus,” exceptional in more ways than one, with a strictly limited production (35 hl/ha) made from Pinot Noir. The exceptional quality of Château de la Tour wine is recognized by all connoisseurs and specialized journalists as the quintessential Grand Cru de Tradition.
