Sine Qua Non
Elaine and Manfred Krankl arrived in the United States from Austria in the 1980s. They took on a series of odd jobs while producing their own garage wine. In 1994, Robert Parker tasted their first vintage and awarded it a score of 95/100. From the moment it was created, Sine Qua Non became famous.
Sine Qua Non offers Rhône-style wines, with a vineyard mainly planted with Syrah and Grenache, but also Petit Manseng, Touriga Nacional, and Graciano, which they believe also represent the Rhône style.
Awarded a 100/100 Parker rating several times, Sine Qua Non is a temple of wine.
