About wine:
Run by Rudy and Nathalie Hutasse, this estate, founded in the 1930s, has an 11-hectare vineyard around Bouzy, a famous grand cru in the Montagne de Reims. Two years ago, it distinguished itself with a non-vintage brut that was voted Favorite. No crown for this 2002, but just as many stars as its predecessor and much praise. Blending equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, this champagne has a bright golden yellow color and a ripe, elegant nose combining dried apricot, cinnamon, macerated fruit, and gingerbread. This richness is confirmed on the palate, which is honeyed, rich and lively, harmonious and well-balanced.
