“The 2018 Pencopolitano is a regional red blend of 67% Cinsault from Guarilihue and 33% País from Portezuelo, made from old vines (40 to 200 years old) growing on granitic soils rich in limestone, sand, and quartz. It was fermented with 30% whole clusters and aged in 2,500-liter oak casks, 5,000-liter oak vats, and 3,000-liter concrete tanks for 10 to 11 months. It is a wine with more structure and fruit, a round palate, and a straightforward personality that is easier to appreciate.” (Wine Advocate 2020)

A blend dominated by Cinsault, which is not easy to vinify. Very good.
