Tarapaca
Viña Tarapacá was founded in 1874 near the Andes Mountains, in the Maipo region. The estate was successively renamed “Viña de Rojas,” “Viña Zavala,” and now “Viña Tarapacá.” On this land of volcanic origin, its vineyard spans 600 hectares, on a terroir comparable to that of the Bordeaux region. Viña Tarapacá has a first cellar dedicated to Chardonnay, with nearly 1,500 French oak barrels, and a second dedicated to red wines with over 3,500 American and French oak barrels. The estate also features its own Wine Museum, as well as a Tuscan-style manor house built in 1927, surrounded by a 10-hectare park.
