Tarapaca

Viña Tarapacá was founded in 1874 near the Cordillera, in the Maipo region. The estate was successively renamed "Viña de Rojas," "Viña Zavala," and now " Viña Tarapacá." On this volcanic soil, its vineyard covers 600 hectares, on a terroir comparable to that of the Bordeaux region. Viña Tarapacá has a first cellar dedicated to Chardonnay, with nearly 1,500 French oak barrels, and a second dedicated to red wines with more than 3,500 American and French oak barrels. The estate also has its own Wine Museum and a Tuscan-style manor house built in 1927, surrounded by 10 hectares of parkland.
