Honestly, the best value for the price—6.80 euros a bottle with 15° alcohol. You’d think it’d be a real taste bud killer and send your head on vacation, just like a very mediocre Cote du Rhône, but not at all— a round, subtle wine, full of finesse yet certainly powerful—tasted with a goose gizzard salad followed by full-flavored cheeses like Pont-l’Évêque and Munster—it was perfect. Bravo!
