"The 2007 Genium is composed of 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, complemented by Merlot and Syrah. The Grenache and Carignan come from vines over 90 years old. It was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. Asian spices, incense, plum, blackberry, and balsamic notes on the nose, in the classic Priorat style. Juicy, concentrated, and well-balanced, it will continue to develop for 1 to 2 years and should be drunk through 2019." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

A remarkable balance (you don't feel the 15.5% alcohol at all) but unfortunately spoiled by an overly pronounced barrel aging that takes over everything else.

This wine showed a significant evolution in aroma and flavor from opening until an hour later, with tastings every fifteen minutes. In any case, it didn't win me over...
