Bodegas Garcia de Aranda - Senorio de los Baldios Crianza 2009
93/100
Robert Parker
Senorio de Los Baldios 2009 is aged in French and American oak barrels for 14 months. Once again, the nose skillfully assimilates the wood, allowing floral, black plum, blackcurrant, and mineral notes to blossom in the glass. The palate has a lovely citrus structure that pairs very well with blackcurrant, blueberry, and black cherry, while the finish is clean and refined. This is another excellent wine from Garcia de Aranda." (Wine Advocate 2013 - Robert Parker)

Not much substance, rather flat. Lacks juice.

A pleasant, seductive wine. A nose of black fruits and cocoa reflecting well-integrated oak. Full-bodied on the palate, with silky tannins.

I only opened one bottle. I had trouble deciding what to do with it: throw it straight down the sink or keep it to make vinegar. Undrinkable, sour, tastes like oil. Is it just this bottle, or is it too old, poorly stored?
