Bodegas Garcia de Aranda - Senorio de los Baldios Crianza 2009
93/100
Robert Parker
“Senorio de Los Baldios 2009 is aged in French and American oak barrels for 14 months. Once again, the nose skillfully integrates the oak, allowing floral notes, black plum, blackcurrant, and mineral tones to unfold in the glass. The palate features a lovely citrus backbone that pairs beautifully with blackcurrant, blueberry, and black cherry, while the finish is clean and refined. This is yet another excellent wine from Garcia de Aranda.” (Wine Advocate 2013 - Robert Parker)

Not much substance, rather bland. Lacks flavor.

A pleasant, alluring wine. The nose offers notes of black fruit and cocoa, with well-integrated oak. The palate is full-bodied, with silky tannins.

I only opened one bottle. I wasn't sure what to do with it—whether to pour it straight down the drain or save it to make vinegar. Undrinkable, sour, tastes like oil. Is it just this bottle, or is it too old, or was it stored improperly??

5/5 for value for money. The nose is open and superb (with vanilla notes). My only regret: not ordering more...
