Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo
Abruzzo is a wine-growing region located in central Italy, at the same latitude as Rome, but along the Adriatic coast and south of the Marche region. Among the wines of Abruzzo, certain appellations linked to Italy's characteristic grape varieties stand out. These appellations include Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, which has been classified as DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) since 1972.

Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is exclusively a white wine produced in the provinces of Chieti, L'Aquila, Pescara, and Teramo. The local Trebbiano grape variety, also known as Bombino Bianco, can be complemented by other accessory grape varieties. Made from the indigenous Trebbiano, Trebbiano d'Abruzzo white wines offer remarkable complexity and excellent aging potential.

It is not without reason that the Trebbiano d'Abruzzo from the Valentini estate was voted Italy's best wine in 2007. Without necessarily claiming such a title, the wine from Villa Medoro offers a perfect example of the qualities of Trebbiano d'Abruzzo.
